About Cobanero Peppers
Cultivated in the highlands in Guatemala, Cobanero peppers are unique to the region where it’s widely used in local dishes. Not only is it unique from its origins but also its flavour: fruity, smokey and remarkably versatile, cobanero can be used in a wide array of foods from breakfast, to tacos and barbecue.
Green when cultivated, red when matured and wrinkly after being smoked for hours in the mountains. Used by the mayans in ceremonies centuries ago, and now revered in daily Guatemalan cuisine, Cobanero peppers can upgrade almost any meal.
